I am not a “nickel and dimer”. I let you know your fees up front. On occasion, I charge fees on a flat-fee basis.
Fees do not include disbursements (that is, out-of pocket costs and taxes). I explain the likely disbursements prior to the beginning of all matters. However, not all disbursements can be known fully in advance.
I do not charge for minor photocopies (up to five pages).
I do not charge for calls in and around the Greater Toronto Area.
I do not charge for long distance calls in North America.

Initial Consultation
There is a consultation fee of $250 plus HST if we meet to discuss your matter. Consultations are at my office in Toronto (Yonge & Sheppard area).
Litigation
Each case is different. The actual fee will be determined after a review of your case.
A retainer of $3,000 is required for Superior Court matters. A retainer of $1,500 is required for all Small Claims Court litigation matters. The retainer has to be replenished if it is close to being used up. Most litigation services are provided in the Greater Toronto Area. I may practice in other courts as well, depending on the nature of the matter.
