Citizenship Fraud Crackdown Continues

Two permanent residents have been arrested on fraud charges for providing false residency information while applying for Canadian citizenship. They had so-called “addresses of convenience” in Toronto.

This is a continuation of Canadian citizenship fraud that started ealier this year. I wrote about this here.

Hopefully, it will no longer be much harder and riskier to commit citizenship fraud. Canada and the US are working on a “Beyond the Border Plan” which will likely make it even harder still. The next few month should be very interesting.
